Brown paper bag Blue edition

Only two more places left before the projekt "Brown paper bag" will start. Due to holidays, I will close on Sunday, Juli, 23 and start to send out. So be quick, if you want to be in.

August Paper Swap and the Brown Paper Bag "Blue Edition"

This month we have another quick swap again. So please sign in soon, if you would like to be in it.

And another brown paper bag will travel round the world.

After the first bag has been so much fun for everyone, the next one hopefully will bring as much joy as the last one.

This time it’s all around the colour BLUE.

How to: I will send the bag out on August, 1st. If you want to be in the game, please sign in soon. I only need your mailing adress. 

When it arrives on your doorstep, take the bag and browse thru. Choose items you want to keep (up to 20) and put the same amount of items back in again. Must be paper and blue colour tones. (Please don’t put in more, because it then will be heavier and shipping costs will rise.) Use the paper items for whatever you like, maybe share it with us. (Send me a link to your blog/website)

Put everything back into the bag and send it on to the next adress on the list (which will be included). It would be nice to let the next one know (via e-mail), that the sending is on the way.

Swap, Quick Swap and Postcard Swap: May and June

So here is what you can take part in for the month of May and June 2017:

1. The normal paper swap 

As usual, free spirit, no theme, send and receive lovely things to lovely people from other countries. You can sign in now.

2. Postcard Swap in June

Our theme this time is “Time flies”. So it’s all about time and its going by. You can make any art and do anything you want, as long as it is sendable on a postcard.

Or more precisely:

Take a blank cardboard or a piece of paper in a postcardsize (at least 10x15 cm) and create some kind of artwork on it. It can be anything you like, a drawing, a collage, a painting, printing, mixed media art etc..Anything that can be send out later. (Very much like an ATC)

3. Quick swap

There will be a quick swap in June which means sending a normal letter envelope full of paper goodies.

The Postcard Project in February

Hi everyone, a happy new year and welcome to the postcard project in February!

This is how it works:

You will take a blank cardboard or a piece of paper in a postcardsize (at least 10x15 cm) and create some kind of artwork on it. It can be anything you like, a drawing, a collage, a painting, printing, mixed media art etc..Anything that can be send out later. (Very much like an ATC)

On the flipside you'll write the address and the answer to the question:

Which art tool or technique are you crazy about? Which is the one thing, that you keep using all over again or which technique gives you the best feeling, when you use it in your art?

It would be nice if the artwork on the postcard mirrors this tool or technique, but it’s no must. Do as you feel it is right for you.

You can make as many postcards as you like and can send them to more than one person. Of course you also can only make one. But maybe you will have a creative flow, once you have started.

Seven years of paper swap

Seven years ago I started Paper Swap with the only intention to exchange artful papers and get to know more artists around the world. I had never thought that I would do this every single month since then (except for summer break). And it is still fun!

The Brown Paper Bag is back again!

Thank you everyone! This was great fun and it's filled to the brim with very nice papers and extra goodies!

 

I will definitely turn back to this project for a second time, maybe next year.

Where I am and where I want to be- the postcard project

Welcome to a new project. It’s about art, communication, creativity, fun and connection.

The great thing is, you can make as many postcards as you like and can send them to more than one person. Of course you also can only make one. But maybe you will have a creative flow, once you have started. Another great thing is: It’s cheap, because you only have the mailing costs for a postcard.

This is how to do it:

Take a blank cardboard or a piece of paper in a postcardsize (at least 10x15 cm) and create some kind of artwork on it. It can be anything you like, a drawing, a collage, a painting, printing, mixed media art etc..Anything that can be send out later. (Very much like an ATC)

On the flipside you write the address and the answer to two questions:

Where are you now? (Describe the place where you are right now, what is it like? How do you feel about it?)

Where would you love to be? (Describe your dream place, which can be real or unreal, on earth or somewhere else)

The artwork on the postcard can relate to the real or the dream place, but it’s no must. Do as you feel it is right for you.

Don’t forget to write the sender on the card.

Browse through the list of addresses and send one postcard to one of these participants (or more cards to more participants). 

 

If you get one (or more) postcard(s) from the other players, let them know via e-mail, that you’ve received it. Maybe you like to start an exchange about places to live and places to dream of with the one who has sent or received the card.

On the starting date I will all send you the list with the addresses, so everyone can choose one or more ladies to send the postcard to.
